Repair Manager – Aqua Blue Pools

Position Overview:
The Swimming Pool Repair Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pool repair department, managing technicians, and ensuring all repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role requires technical expertise in swimming pool construction and systems, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the swimming pool repair department, ensuring efficient scheduling, timely completion of repairs, and high-quality workmanship.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex pool issues, including filtration systems, pumps, heaters, plumbing, pool surfaces, lighting, automation systems, and other related equipment.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to repair technicians, ensuring they have the tools and training needed to complete repairs accurately.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program to reduce future repair needs and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales, maintenance, and construction departments to ensure clear communication and seamless service to clients.
  • Manage and prioritize repair requests, coordinating schedules and dispatching repair teams accordingly.
  • Conduct quality control checks on completed repairs to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain inventory of necessary repair parts and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and availability for repair jobs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing excellent service, handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and explaining repair processes in a clear, professional manner.
  • Oversee employee training and development to enhance team performance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs, materials used, and labor costs; prepare reports as needed for upper management.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, products, and techniques to ensure the repair department is equipped with the latest tools and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in swimming pool repair or a related field, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Willingness to obtain In-depth knowledge of swimming pool systems, including pumps, filters, heaters, plumbing, electrical systems, and pool finishes.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team of repair technicians.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex pool issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Proficiency in managing repair schedules, inventory, and department budgets.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in pool repair.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using scheduling software and other computer systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
