As the last technician on-site, you will configure and test equipment, balance chemicals, educate homeowners, and ensure a smooth handoffβleaving a lasting, positive impression. π What Youβll Do (Your Day-to-Day)
As our Start-Up Technician, youβll be the final touch to ensure pools are clean, chemically balanced, and functioning perfectly. Your key responsibilities include:
π§ Equipment Operation & Troubleshooting
β Configure, calibrate, and program pool automation systems, timers, valves, heaters, and chemistry controllers.
β Test all pool equipment to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot issues as needed.
β Work with vendor reps (Pentair, Hayward, etc.) to resolve technical challenges.
π¦ Water Chemistry & Pool Cleaning
β Perform thorough cleaning: skimming, brushing, vacuuming, and filter maintenance.
β Monitor and adjust water chemistry, ensuring proper pH, chlorine, and other chemical levels.
β Identify and report plaster-related issues with proper documentation and photos.
π‘ Customer Training & Education
β Conduct comprehensive customer orientations, ensuring clients understand their pool system and maintenance.
β Explain how to use automation apps, lighting, heating, and filtration schedules.
β Answer customer questions in a clear, professional, and friendly manner.
π€ Customer Service & Communication
β Serve as the one of the final points of contact in the construction process, leaving a lasting, positive impression.
β Address and resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
β Ensure customer satisfaction by being thorough, reliable, and approachable.
π Vehicle Care & Inventory Management
β Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized work vehicle.
β Conduct daily inventory checks, ensuring chemicals and tools are ready for the day.
β Report vehicle maintenance or supply needs to the Scheduler/Manager.
π Documentation & Reporting
β Maintain detailed records of equipment settings, serial numbers, and site conditions.
β Upload photos and documentation using the company app.
β Complete daily checklists to track progress and ensure tasks are completed thoroughly.
π Training & Knowledge Building
β Stay updated on new pool technologies and best practices through training and online resources.
β Share knowledge with team members to improve processes and techniques.
